We can be the generation to stop children dying of hunger

Urge your government to end child malnutrition

Thank you for helping us reach signatures

Generation Nutrition asked you to sign our petition to call on your government to:

1. Agree on a global target to reduce the number of children suffering from acute malnutrition by millions every year until 2030.
2. Take urgent action to achieve this reduction, supporting all efforts to end child deaths from the condition.

93,000 signatures later, Target 2.2 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – the new global development goals - commits to:

by 2030 end all forms of malnutrition, including achieving by 2025 the internationally agreed targets on stunting and wasting [acute malnutrition] in children under five years of age, and address the nutritional needs of adolescent girls, pregnant and lactating women, and older persons”

This means that a new global target for tackling acute malnutrition now exists – in September 2015 it was formally adopted by governments! Your support was essential for this victory. We showed governments that we are united in our determination to be the generation to end child deaths from malnutrition.

Here's the plan

World Leaders Act Now
Together our voices are stronger. Our leaders will hear our call to urgently provide needed resources and act to reduce the number of dangerously malnourished children by millions every year.
Support Communities
Governments can empower communities to cut the number of children who become dangerously malnourished and treat those who do by ensuring access to the basics: healthcare, water and nutritious food
Every Child has a future
Together, every year we could save the lives of 1 million children and make sure that over 50 million others have the chance to not only survive, but thrive.
